Activity Name:  Entertainment Committee

Mission: Plan and schedule various entertainment events that would benefit all members of our BSTW community for the upcoming year. The Committee is composed of event managers, volunteers to help on these events, and all residents who want to contribute ideas for selecting events.
 
The Entertainment Committee brainstorms various events we might consider putting on throughout the calendar year. We then obtain consensus for which events we want to sponsor and fund, work out a tentative schedule, and request a volunteer event manager.
 
We receive a generous budget to help fund our events.from the Activities Coordinating Council. To manage the budget efficiently, all requests for reimbursement by the ACC are made through the Chairman.
 
The Entertainment Committee is a standing committee of the Resident’s Council. The Entertainment Committee Chairman is approved by the RC. He reports our plans for upcoming events to their monthly meeting.
 
What The Entertainment Committee does NOT do is run events. We sponsor events. A willing Event Director is assigned for each event. The appointed event director is then completely responsible for producing their event. However, the Entertainment Committee is willing and able to provide volunteers, funding, and advertising to help out if desired.
 
Just because someone is on The Committee doesn’t mean they have to be in charge of an event or even volunteer to help out at an event. There will be no pressure! They may just want to propose an event, or provide valuable input to help determine what type of entertainment the community may prefer.
